Olá Smooth Jazz-Lovers all over the world,

The long wait is finally over – the secret of the “New” in the alliance of our festivals is out: With our third annual event, we take you to the southern end of Europe, directly to the Portuguese Atlantic coast – more specifically to the spectacular rock formations of the Algarve. At the end of September, we are going to open the gates of a small paradise for festival guests from all over the world: The exclusive 5-star hideaway Vila Vita Parc extends on a 22-hectare, subtropical park, which sits directly on the seaside cliffs.

The member of the “Leading Hotels of the World” is located in Armação de Pêra (Porches), about half an hour drive away from Faro International Airport, and has much to offer – among others 170 rooms, suites and villas, which are housed in various Moorish style buildings. In addition, it has nine restaurants – one of them has been awarded with two Michelin stars – seven bars, a café and an underground vaulted wine cellar, where Vila Vita Parc proffers amongst others its house wine. As well as for example the olive oil they serve in the hotel it is grown on the Vila-Vita-Estate “Herdade dos Grous”. As a part of our additional festival program we are going to visit that 730 hectare property, located about an hour away from the resort, in a day trip – wine tasting included, of course.

Other stations in our additional program are – beside the welcome dinner with artists and musicians – an excursion to Faro and a bus trip to Lagos and Sagres, where we will follow the footsteps of Portuguese explorers. Furthermore, we have put together a high-class and varied festival line-up again.
